Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

 

MoU was signed by Dr. P.L. Sahu, Scientific Director, National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Dr. D. Srinivasa Reddy, Director, CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Canal Road, Jammu, Government of India on 11th January 2021 for research collaboration by combining their respective research capabilities in the areas of synthesis of reference standards and in-vitro and in-vivo studies (PK studies) on the metabolites with main emphasis on the national goals in area of Dope testing and Global positioning. In future both the Institutes will also explore the role of phyto-chemicals in particular phyto-steroids in dope testing.

The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) signed an MoU with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)-Guwahati, effective from 1st August, 2020, with the avowed objectives to carry out multidisciplinary research and development activities in the areas of synthesis and characterization of certain drugs and their metabolites used by dope testing laboratories world over. Further, it is envisaged that the knowledge-sharing between the two National Scientific Institutes in the specified areas will immensely help facilitate not only in synthesis of standards of rare drugs/metabolites prohibited in human sports but also contribute to the cause of Anti-Doping science to a great extent. The research activities will also engage MS Pharma and Ph.D. students between the two Institutes leading to award of their respective Degrees.

It’s pleasure to share that the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL), New Delhi and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Ahmedabad have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for broadening the scope of research including Ph. D. programs in the field of Anti-Doping Science and Forensic Sciences. This agreement strengthens the long-standing cooperation between the two organizations in the protection of clean sport, encourages the reduction of drug abuse in sport and society.
